Sow Sew Flax Exhibition

An exhibition of Flax Crafts and Artwork Created by Manchester Artists

10am—4pm

Launch Event: Thursday 5 June 2014 at 6pm

Sow Sew, our project to grow a Manchester Fabric on waste land, has entered its creative phase. We have successfully grown and processed the flax and now the yarn and material has been distributed to local artists in Manchester to turn the flax into something fantastic!

If you are interested in textiles, sustainability or just curious to see how something grown on local land can be turned into an everyday item come along and visit our Sow Sew exhibition.

A variety of individual flax craft pieces and artwork from batiks to bags will be exhibited at Bridge 5 Mill for 3 months from Thursday 5 June 2014.  As well as being able to view the finished pieces, information will also be available on the stages and processes involved in creating this sustainable material.
