Frida's Garden Headpiece Workshop
10am—4pm
Make a statement headpiece inspired by icon Frida Kahlo.
Using images of Frida Kahlo as inspiration, this one day workshop will introduce participants to millinery techniques such as wrapping, wiring, using materials such as sinamay and buckram to create a floral headpiece; as well as developing design skills.
Skills include – cutting tulle bias strips and wrapping headband • Sinamay bases • Sculpting with natural sinamay • colouring sinamay • Attaching flowers • Design Development and experimentation and photographing finished pieces.
No prior experience neccessary.
