Learn the basics of two hand printing processes - mono printing and lino cut printing. Get to grips with the processes and get creative with your use of them. We will look at artists using these techniques and make our own prints following demonstrations.
Learning two hand printing processes that will allow participants to develop an understanding of the techniques with time to develop confidence and creativity when using the processes. Monoprinting session involves two types of printing and the chance to explore both in depth - practicing ways to use the technique to fit your practice. Lino printing involves learning the basics of the skills and time to develop and play around with the process to create unique and exciting prints. This workshop spans over 2 non-consecutive Saturdays.
Workshop Leader: Jasmine Walne
Jasmine Walne is an Abstract Artist and Surface Designer. She produces design-led products and original artwork as well as facilitating art and design workshops. She studied Textiles at Manchester School of Art, specialising in Print and from there has opened her own shop and studio in Walkden where she runs workshops and sells her products. Jasmine uses a combination of hand and digital processes.
