Collette Costello is a Manchester Fashion and Textiles designer. The aim of her Textiles Masters degree was to develop a strong brand identity for her established commercial fashion label and explore various methods of commercially producing fashion garments for e-commerce sale through her on-line store. Collette has combined commercial methods such as digital textile print with more traditional methods such as hand-stitch to produce a commercial yet unique collection.

The Collette Costello brand "Remember Me", has been developed in response to the nature of the modern consumer. It has been inspired by the idea of the modern inspirational lifestyle we are sold through marketing and advertising, with publications such as "101 Things to Do Before We Die" we are encouraged to believe that life is a series of events such as "University", "Travel", "Marriage" goals that we collect almost like badges as a reflection of who we are. The "Remember Me" collection is a nostalgic representation of consumers aspirations, that they would be proud to show they have achieved literally wearing their memories/ aspirations on their sleeves. The textile patterns, badges used in the collection make reference to a romantic tale of "Dancing All Night Under The Stars".

The method of recording memories through the use of textiles adopted by Collette was influenced by the historical use of quilt making as tool to record family trees and village events. At a time when many people were illiterate and cameras were yet to be invented, stitch was used instead as a method to preserve the past.
