Joanne Abbiss
Joanne's practice during the MA programme has focused on memories of her childhood that are rekindled by handling cloth. Through the exploration of photography, print, jacquard and weave, Joanne projected childhood images on to fabrics she had woven to build a body of work that evokes distorted and faded memories. Throughout her journey, Joanne has realized the importance of keeping memories active. By using the photographs her parents had taken throughout Joanne's infancy she has created her own record of her childhood.
