I am an ecological artist based in Stoke-on-Trent, and the focus of my artistic practice concerns people's connection with Nature in their everyday lives. This has taken the form of initiating gardening exchanges with people in a range of settings; allotments, art galleries and chance encounters. These include oral history projects (including a 'Memory Garden' with the senior citizens of a local heritage group), guerrilla gardening projects and open garden days. From seed saving to local ecology the object is to engage people in the potential for increased biodiversity in and around where they live. The resulting photographs, maps and drawings document the process of that engagement with Nature. Collectively, these projects contribute towards a Second Garden Festival for Stoke-on-Trent, a healing act on our fragmented ecological network.

Affiliations include Alsager Sustainability Group and the Urban Garden Network.
