Carlota González Míguez
After have studied sociology in her hometown in Spain and having focused her final project in the visual field, she decided to study a postgraduate in Visual Culture in Manchester.
Her work in the MA uses the themes of absence and presence to explore one particular street in central Manchester, and examines material traces of that past through the buildings that were theatres before.
Having photography as a hobby has helped her to approach this idea from a visual perspective, combining it with the projection of old archives. A game between what has gone forever and what have been kept.
