Projects I am most passionate about and interested in are dealing with social change. I see my design work as a tool to communicate and educate in a light, emotional and accessible way.

During my MA I was exploring participation and publication in relation to mental illness and depression. Within this year I founded nous magazine, a free, participatory publication featuring poetry and prose as well as visuals created by creative practitioners who might as well have experienced the impact of depression themselves. Two issues have been released till September 2013 they have been distributed in cafés, bars and other venues in Manchester and Mainz but can also be ordered online via the nous magazine website.

The second issue has been accompanied by As We Are Away Mini Festival, featuring a poetry afternoon, a concert and a film screening, I initiated in collaboration with Manchester based artists – Zach Roddis, Bernard+Edith, and Cultivate Film - promoting open-mindedness towards the issue of mental illness.
