Katherine Frost

Kat Frost is an illustrator and printmaker with a particular interest in confessional story telling as a catharsis for unconscious conflict. Using a naive aesthetic to convey emotional depth and intensity, she is motivated by exploring themes surrounding the female experience, identity and isolation vs solitude. Her exploration is predominantly sketchbook-based, for the intimacy it offers, also incorporating the refreshingly imperfect process of riso printing, which captures the textures of the mark making and facilitates reaching a wider audience through print and distribution.
