Marketing Educator of the Year 2007

EXCELLENT teaching has earned an MMU Marketing lecturer a national award.

Rod Humphreys, a senior lecturer at MMU Business School, was named Educator of the Year by the Institute of Direct Marketing.

The award recognises people who have significantly contributed to the Institute's education programme through writing, lecturing or mentoring marketing students.

Rod is course tutor for the IDM Diploma in the North West and Midlands regions and member of the Institute’s board of examiners.

He teaches marketing of financial services, direct and relationship marketing and consumer behaviour, and has worked for the Mars Group and delivered executive courses for IBM, Tesco, Sodexho and Eversheds.

Dr Ruth Ashford, Head of Marketing and Retail at MMUBS said: "This is a high status professional body award and is very well deserved by Rod for his excellent teaching which has also been recognised externally now."
