Profs thumbs up for MMU
9th in North - Sunday Times lecturers poll
LECTURERS rate MMU among the best universities in the North, according to the new Sunday Times League Table published yesterday.
More than 2,200 academics* were asked to rate university departments across the UK.
The lecturers rated MMU 4th in the North West behind Manchester, Lancaster and Liverpool.
In the North as a whole, they ranked MMU joint 9th with Hull, behind Newcastle, Leeds, Sheffield, Durham and York and the North West colleges.
*Academics were asked to rate departments in their subject field at other universities on a five-point scale for the quality of their undergraduate provision.
