This cumulative theme generated critical capacity, and attracted international acclaim in the field of Ecological Art. It promoted trans-disciplinary collaborations between those engaged in creative arts practice, philosophy and environmental sciences and focused on an on-going inquiry into the relationships between climate change, evolution and the nature of water.

The main outputs include a book in the Tate Library Collection , a paper in an international journal and two book chapters . Each of these components is regarded as internationally excellent in terms of originality, significance and rigour.

They are further supported by seven invited presentations to international conferences, as well as being invited to curate and chair a major ecological science and arts conference as an expert in the field. Two entries in the Wiley Encyclopaedia of Water , a benchmark paper for Greenmuseum , selection for a web exhibition alongside other world-renowned artists and arts organisations and a significant research web publication further underpin the esteem earned by this submission.
