Foundation alumni celebrate recent successes

Longshaw Ward catwalk show at Belarus Fashion Week

Alumni of Manchester School of Art's Foundation Diploma in Art and Design have had more to celebrate than the beginning of the festive season with successes in the areas of fashion, fine art and illustration. 

David Longshaw shows at Belarus Fashion Week

David Longshaw, who studied Foundation Diploma in Art and Design at Manchester School of Art in 2003, has showcased his work at Belarus Fashion Week. 

His work was shown in the catwalk of the Spring/Summer 2018 collection of Longshaw Ward, an accessories and womenswear brand he co-created with Kirsty Ward, who is an alumni of Manchester Metropolitan University's BA (Hons) Fashion Design with Technology course. 

Sarah Massini celebrates book publications 

Illustrator Sarah Massini has celebrated the publication of two children's books this year: The Velveteen Rabbit, written by Margery Williams, and The Boy and The Bear by Tracey Corderoy, both of which were published by Nosy Crow. 

Sarah Massini studied Foundation Diploma in Art and Design and then BA (Hons) Graphic Design at Manchester School of Art, which was then known as Manchester College of Art and Design, from 1982-1986. 

Imperial War Museum North Commission for Jasmine Creed 

Jasmine Creed, who studied Foundation Diploma in Art and Design at Manchester School of Art in 2009, has completed an art commission for the Imperial War Museum North. 

After studying at Manchester School of Art, Jasmine went on to study Fine Art in London, and has showcased work in solo exhibitions at The Crypt Gallery, London and Norman Plastow Gallery, London.
