Dr Jan Fyfe PhD, MA, BA(Hons)


Jan Fyfe is a photographic artist and lecturer in photography at The Manchester School of Art, MMU where she gained an MA in 2011 and completed her practice-based PhD at MMU in 2017 - Thesis title: A Post-Phenomenological Investigation into Vision and Visuality in Landscape Photography. Her practice and research explore ways of working with a specific landscape to investigate place, memory and time. Her PhD research investigated how multi-perspectival viewpoints affect temporal and spatial planes within the photographic landscape. She has exhibited nationally and internationally and was shortlisted for the Epson Art Photo Award 2007, Dusseldorf
