Diane is a Manchester based artist who after graduating from Loughborough University in 2000 with a degree in Fine Art Sculpture went on to work as a prop maker for The Royal Shakespeare Theatre.

She has made Photographic props for Bud Weiser, freelanced at the Lowry and the Royal Exchange Theatre's in Manchester and has worked with ceramic, sculpture and print artists.

In 2006 she joined MMU as a ceramics technician. Promoted to Technical Officer in 2010, Diane is now responsible for the ceramics and mould-making facilities.

Outside MMU Diane has worked on a number of short films as art director, prop maker and buyer. She also continues to make and exhibit her own fine art work.

In 2010, as a founder member of 'The Cottonopolis Collective', she helped curate and exhibited in their first group show which showcased over 40 North West artist's work in the beautiful setting of Manchester's Victoria Baths building.
