Lisa is a RISO printer and publisher, educator, and graphic designer. She has been a member of Team Print at the Manchester School of Art as a book binding technician since 2016. Originally from a small village in South Germany, she lives and works in Manchester since 2012.

The focal point of Lisa’s work is mental health. She is the founder and director of mind culture magazine NOUS, a bi-annual publication promoting conversations around our mental well-being as well as other related social issues. With her publishing house Team Trident Press she supports as of yet unpublished authors and encourages international collaboration between writers and visual artists. Since 2016, she runs risography workshops for community groups and arts events.

Lisa holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Design from the University of Applied Sciences Mainz. In 2013, she graduated from the Manchester School of Art with a postgraduate degree in Design and Art Direction.

Lisa enjoys exploring new experiences and countries. In the past, she has worked as Director’s Assistant at the National Theatre Mannheim, editorial design intern for Time Out Beijing, and regularly volunteers for organisations such as Asia Triennial Manchester and cultural catalyst Partisan Collective.

For her work with NOUS magazine Lisa has been nominated for the Print & Zine NOISE awards 2014, Best Art Direction for STACK awards 2016, and has been a speaker at events such as STACK: Magazines for Good and “Magazine Party” for Good Fruit London.
