Creating the Countryside: Thomas Gainsborough to Today

I co-curated this large scale exhibition with Verity Elson, who was a curator at Compton Verney. The exhibition explores the notion of the rural idyll, looking at how this concept has been portrayed in art history, contemporary art and everyday life.
It featured over 100 artworks from the seventeenth century to today and included a new commission from Delaine Le Bas working with the Museum of English Rural Life.
