Burning

Cross Pollination

7pm—7.15pm

Scratch performance sharing

Suspended between worlds, two minor divinities — Bunny, an intergalactic assassin, and Corpse, a body-without-organs — stumble into a neon-soaked whodunnit. Hunted by the vicious Minotaur, mafia proprietor of The Labyrinth nightclub, they navigate back rooms, dressing tables and mythic alleyways where desire and danger manifest in equal measure.

Burning splices laboratory-theatre rigour with the subversive wit of cabaret and burlesque: score-driven training meets glitter and lip-sync; gestures repeat, mutate and fracture; songs are cut with testimony as a choreography of violence and tenderness takes shape. In this volatile duet, bodies refuse easy legibility—queering divinity, gender and mortality—while the audience becomes accomplice to a theatrical game of cat and mouse.

Smoke, mirrors and microphones create a threshold world where identity is performed, shed and reassembled. Part thriller, part ritual, the piece asks what survives when flesh is commodity and myth is business—and what burns when marginalised bodies claim centre-stage.
