The Affective Dramaturgy of Voice
Patrick Campbell
2pm
A Cross Pollination Production
In this performative lecture, Patrick Campbell, core member of the artistic laboratory Cross Pollination (Belgium) and Senior Lecturer in Drama and Contemporary Performance at Manchester Metropolitan University (UK), reflects on his journey through voice. Based on his 15-year experience as a student of Margaret Pikes, co-founder of the renowned Roy Hart Theatre (France), Campbell analyses the affective strata that influence his vocal practice, and how they inform the dramaturgical tactics in his musical work on stage.
Presented as part the 2026 Future Flares Festival
