Oxford Road Chaplaincy Commission (2014) is a site specific project developed for Textiles in Practice students, involving the production of permanent artworks for a multi-faith chaplaincy space. Working from a client briefing and site visit, students pitched proposals which were selected and commissioned. The resulting works combined woven,3D printed and lasercut textiles, responding sensitively to the architectural and spiritual context of the building. The project was scaffolded through professional development activities, including visualisation, producing a confident pitch with budget, and managing production to a deadline. Contributing artists included Christina Hesford and David Wright.
