Rachel Magdeburg is an artist, writer and researcher.
Rachel Magdeburg completed her PhD at the University of Wolverhampton with a full studentship researching the concept of the Anthropocene through contemporary painting practice with the thesis: 'Watery Bodies, Natures Mortes, Lost Backgrounds and Decapitated Heads: Contemporary Painting Practice in the Anthropocene'.
Rachel has held artistic residencies at East Street Arts, Leeds; Sunderland Cultural Partnerships; Joya: Arte + Ecologia in Spain; and Artcore in Derby.
Rachel is a freelance writer for Corridor 8 for the West Midlands.
