Heritage Pathways: Mapping Youth Belonging in Castlefield

This half-day engagement event and exhibition was hosted at The National Trust's Castlefield Viaduct site and explored how movement and creative outdoor activities can act as tools to connect people with tangible and intangible dimensions of place.

The session engaged students from Loreto College and through a series of creative workshops and facilitated activities, it explored themes of historic urban development, heritage, placemaking, and personal connection to place.

Final outputs - including 'urban lego' interventions on a physical model of Castlefield, and hand sketches and texture rubbings from an urban walk, were exhibited alongside second year BA(hons) Architecture student's Castlefield design projects.
