Checkerboard studies is an artist's book considers the discrepancies between the imaging, rendering and experiences of the body.
Through re-photographing and considering the camera as a both a creative and technical tool for revision and rediscovery; the checkerboard becomes a space to consider the relationship between the measuring and embodiment of the self as an object.
This body of work aims to reference medical imagery, and new presentations of health and illness.
