What is Practice-related Research? An introduction and showcase event

Output Type:Other form of assessable output
Publisher:British Academy Early Career Research Network

This event focuses on showcasing practice-related research that is undertaken by Early Career Researchers (ECRs) across the British Academy's ECR network (BAECRN), with a particular focus on the North West and North Wales (NWNW) region. The event is organised and hosted by Manchester Metropolitan University (Mcr Met) in collaboration with the Universities of Lancaster
and Manchester as delivery partners for the BAECRN NWNW cluster. The term practice-related research is inclusive of practice-based, practice-led, practiced-informed and practiced-influenced research across SHAPE disciplines, provided that the research being conducted has some connection to 'doing' in the reflection, formation, or outputs of the research. We are keen to showcase the wide variety of practice-related research in disciplines including visual arts, design, and humanities and also education, social work, health disciplines, law and business.
