For this article, we examine how the process of generating materials in, and for, our performance of Matchstalks Remastered (2023) can be considered a dramaturgical 'landscaping' of LS Lowry's artwork and the 1978 song, Matchstalk Men and Matchstalk Cats and Dogs by folk-pop duo Brian and Michael, which inspired the project.
