Output Type: | Artefact |
Venue: | Manchester School of Art |
Mica and Gold Leaf Glass Decal is an artefact of practice based research resulting in a 'new' wallcovering design methodology. Research has been undertaken to develop the manifestation of a design artefact of originality and rigour. The research seeks to impact upon the field of sustainable wallcovering practice in the following ways:
- The new materials and processes enable a wide range of user groups access to use the materials and process in practice.
- 3D additive manufacturing (AM) digital printing developments enable a diverse range of application contexts to be explored.
- Environmental impact is reduced with the potential to impact upon design practice across a wide range of user group sectors.
