Output Type:Composition

This durational performance for screen contrasts cultural notions of progression, with the temporal, mutable and unfinished body that relentlessly moves through time. In it the artist lays claim to cultural first, end points, pinnacles and accolades made since time began. Some claims are true, some questionable and others openly fraudulent. These are contrasted by an endless series of physical tasks with clearly self-generated constraints that make them impossible to achieve. Her movements are small, dogged and apparently pointless offering a potential contrast with notions of artistic 'greatness' in terms of scale, permanence and grandeur.
