White Island

White Island contributes to contemporary debates on what constitutes a photograph. The research questions ask how photography is understood and articulated in a post-analogue era. It deliberates how the reconstitution of photo-materiality, through analogue/digital convergence, affect the referent in photography.
As a result of this investigation two artworks were produced between 2015-2018. White Island: Horizonflux, a series of prints and White Island: Without Light, a film.
