To celebrate the centenary of the pioneering Bauhaus school in Germany, first year undergraduate students from Manchester School of Architecture have created an exhibition of modern houses as part of their humanities studies. The exhibition features models and drawings of the iconic Walter Gropius designed Bauhaus Master's houses in Dessau, and of houses in London designed by architects associated with the school. Collectively they demonstrate the progression of architectural style through an understanding of modern materials and construction techniques. The exhibition highlights the international links between the groups and individual designers, and their contribution to the evolution of modernist architecture.
