Presented chapter is an introductory text to the book combining contributions from academics and students of the Master in Architecture programme at the University of Plymouth. The book is exploring the idea of radical inclusivity, going beyond the notion of universal design and engaging with a tension between relational and hierarchical nature of space (explored for example by Bill Hillier) and egalitarian ambitions of socially minded architecture. The chapter sets the tone and provides a theoretical framework for the whole book.
