Feminist Architectural Wallpaper

By collating lists of female architects - some famous and some less known we designed a wallpaper to subtly include names. This is contextualised by the lack of recognition of achievements that many female practitioners and academics identify with. By googling architect one is predominently faced with white male faces. The wallpaper was shown as part of a presentation and led into the Praxxis atelier staff and students very proactively taking part in the PART W Gold Campaign to create an alternative female list of the prestigious RIBA Gold Medal Winners for each year since 1848. Praxxis nominated over 80 women for this fanastic project.
