Sala Taller

An international residency and exhibition which included research and production of new work including sculptures, photographs, drawings and paintings. The format allows artists to occupy two spaces, one as a public facing workshop (studio) and the other as an exhibition space exposing themselves to the public; processes, reflections and decisions that usually belong to the private world of artistic creation. Espacio de Arte Contemporáneo is the leading contemporary art museum in Montevideo, the building an 1800 panopticon former prison, it now also holds the National Museum of Natural History.
