BA Product Design

How can design inspire, bring joy, organise and support healthy hybrid working routines and environments for people seeking a better work-life balance?

In this module, students were asked to identify a well-being issue to resolve and they responded by creating a body of drawings, models and finally a prototype made using the wide range of materials and techniques at their disposal; including wood, metal and 3D printing.

The brief for this module, co-written with Vitsœ, is designed to utilise the landscape of the famous 606 Universal Shelving System, designed by Dieter Rams in 1960 and produced by Vitsœ ever since. Special thanks also to the team at Unitom for hosting the presentations and exhibiting the work on the 606 Universal Shelving System.
