Zorian Clayton

Zorian Clayton is Assistant Curator of Prints at the Victoria & Albert Museum, specialising in 19th and 20th century posters and paper ephemera. Recent publications include contributions to ‘The Poster: A Visual History’ (Thames & Hudson, 2020) and ‘Museums, Sexuality, and Gender Activism’ (Routledge 2020). He has been the co-chair of the V&A LGBTQ+ Working Group for the past eight years, programming numerous special events and research projects on queer artists in the collections. Since 2016, he is also a programmer for the BFI Flare Festival, the largest LGBTIQ+ film festival in Europe, specialising in trans and non-binary content. Since 2017, he is a board member of Trans Creative, a Manchester-based company advocating for transgender people to tell their own stories in the visual and performing arts.
