The article presents the case for pro-active engagement with property developers in respect of urban regeneration projects. Relating practice based experience of working with live projects in an educator context, the article reflects the role of illustrators as storytellers and narrators presenting both historical perspectives and speculative futures for the specifics of location. The article featured 2 full page illustration's created by students engaged in these projects.
