Sew Near- Sew Far reimagines the signature in a large scale site specific artwork to explore female identity, look afresh at the Bronte legacy and draw a community together in a shared celebration of literary creativity. The ephemeral, outdoor embroidery rooted in the Yorkshire landscape presents a counter to hard fixed monuments and opens up a new way of interpreting history.
