Crafting the Digital
“Crafting the Digital” is an ongoing research project, investigating craft inspired approaches to digital manufacture. The research is developing materially sensitive approaches to CNC Routing that enables the physicality of the machining process to become fundamental to the final character of the work. This latest series investigates the flexibility of digital router cutter paths, to efficiently develop a range of bowls with a shared form, but with individual textured surface patterns.
