Modernism is Dead

6pm—8.30pm

The Manchester School of Architecture Debating Union is a new organisation run by MSA students to establish a platform for debate around important architectural topics.

The first informal debate, titled Modernism is Dead, will explore the decline of the modern architectural movement in recent decades. We're looking for confident and enthusiastic students with a knowledge of modernism (not necessarily in depth) to deliver a prepared 5 minute speech and be ready to answer questions from the floor, we need 4 students in total.

The debate will be held at Christie's Bistro on the University of Manchester campus on the 10th May, 18:00-20:30. Current speakers include Eddy Rhead of The Modernist, Richard Brook, lecturer and head of BA, MSA and Stephen Walker, MARC.
