Experimental Drawing Workshop

Tuesdays 6.30pm – 8.30pm, 6 weeks

A series of drawing workshops aimed at applying contemporary techniques and processes to traditional drawing methods to encourage expression and creativity. Learn new ways to create interesting and exciting drawing, each week focusing on a different area in order to develop a broad range of skills.

Looking in detail at texture, line and shape in order to create expressive and interpretive drawings of what we see around us. Focusing on contemporary drawing styles to create exciting outcomes. Looking at contemporary artists who use techniques in their own practice and being inspired this in our own drawing to be experimental and have some fun. Each week focusing on a different specialism, resulting in a well-rounded course which allows participants to gain a full insight into contemporary drawing practices.

Workshop Leader: Jasmine Walne

Jasmine Walne is an Abstract Artist and Surface Designer. She produces design-led products and original artwork as well as facilitating art and design workshops. She studied Textiles at Manchester School of Art, specialising in Print and from there has opened her own shop and studio in Walkde where she runs workshops and sells her products. Jasmine uses a combination of hand and digital processes.
