Reform-Play-Create

An evening of discussion, performance and participation

5pm—9pm

MA students from Manchester School of Art invite you to Manchester Art Gallery for an evening of discussion, performance and participation. As part of ‘Ruskin200’, the bicentenary of John Ruskin’s birth, students across a range of MA disciplines will be holding a number of interactive events where visitors will have the opportunity to move between and manipulate representations of historical artworks within the space.

The first-floor gallery space will play host to a live interpretive dance performance of two artworks by performance dance students from Sandbach High School and Sixth Form College. In addition to a collaborative collage where everyone is invited to have their say on the ever-changing historical themes in Renaissance and classic art. Performances will take place at 6 and 7pm, starting in the Gallery’s main foyer and continuing through up into the first-floor gallery spaces.

In a true hat-tip to Ruskin, there’ll also be the chance to converse, discuss and comment over refreshments at the gallery hosts its own tea party.
