Tuesday Talk: Linsey Young

The Tuesday Talks series presents leading artists, thinkers and curators who explore the driving forces, influences and sources of inspiration within contemporary art. The series is a collaboration between the Whitworth and Manchester School of Art and is programmed by Pavel Büchler.

Since 2016, Linsey Young has has been Curator of British Contemporary Art at Tate Britain. She has worked with such influential artists as Pablo Bronstein, Martin Boyce, Rachel Whiteread and Anthea Hamilton, has been the lead curator of the Turner Prize, and has contributed to the development of collection displays, the Tate Britain film programme and Art Now exhibitions. She was previously a curator at Inverleith House, Edinburgh (2009-2013) and Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art (2013-2014) and is currently the commissioner and curator of Scotland+Venice 2019, presenting the work of Charlotte Prodger at this year's Venice Biennale. Young also runs the itinerant not for profit exhibitions and publications project YOUNG TEAM which she initiated in 2013.
