The Institute is pleased to announce
the appointment of Dr Gavin Miller,
currently at the University of Edinburgh, to the post of Research Fellow. Dr Miller is working on a history of Scottish psychiatry as a follow-up to his monograph on the life and work of R.D. Laing (published by Edinburgh University Press in 2004). Dr Miller will be completing his Leverhulme Early-Career Fellowship at the Institute from June to December 2007, and then commence his ERI Research Fellowship in January 2008. He will be delivering his inaugural research seminar on *A Wall of Ideas: The *Taboo on Tenderness* in Theory and Culture* on
Wednesday 30 May at 4.30 in GM 238. All welcome.
