MMU graduate Natalie Procter is the new Young Marketer of the Year for Higher Education.

Natalie, 24, who works for the University’s Marketing and Communications Office, scooped Gold at the HEIST awards, the ‘Oscars’ of higher education marketing.

A graduate in Marketing Management, she follows in the footsteps of another MMUBS graduate Rachel Bullock who won the award in 2007.

MMU also won Gold for HR Marketing and PR Campaign of the Year and was nominated for two other categories: Best Website for www.mmu.ac.uk/alumni and HEIST Marketing Department of the Year.

Hard work

Natalie, from Rossendale said: "I thought I was in with a fighting chance after a lot of hard work this year, but to win Gold was unbelievable.

"MMU has been great for me. I got a great degree, a great job and now have had the opportunity to show what I can do on a national stage."

Head of Marketing and Communications Emma Leech said: "The marketing of this university is getting stronger and stronger, and two more UK awards reflect our growing reputation within the university sector."

Last week, the Marketing and Communications Office relaunched the University’s website to widespread praise.
