Korean and Chinese Migrant Artists in Britain

My PhD investigated South Korean artists and curators who had migrated temporarily or long-term to London to pursue their artistic and curatorial practice. The doctoral methods involved field work in South Korea, ethnographic studies conducted with South Korean artists producing art in London & New Malden and interviews with curators of Korean art exhibitions in Britain.

During my doctoral research I was also Visual Arts Correspondent for www.londonkoreanlinks.net.

I have since conducted research on the post-war Chinese diaspora in the UK, considering the 1980s/90s term 'British-Chinese Artists' with particular attention to Manchester's Chinese art scene and the CFCCA.
