Silence Of The Photograph

‘Silence Of The Photograph’ is a photographic project that seeks to document something about the lived experiences of hearing loss. Using portraiture and interviews the work presents individual perspectives of the everyday and physiological experiences of hearing impairment.

The project was the brainchild of photographers Gavin Parry and David Penny in collaboration with the University of Manchester Audiology Department. SOTP was also a part of the ‘Artefacts & Experiences’ exhibition at Manchester Central Library.

I designed/art directed the promotional newspapers containing portraits and interviews with participants as well as internal exhibition signage.
