The core of this paper is the text of a performance I gave at the first conference of the
Association for Psychosocial Studies at UCLAN in December 2014. It begins with some
introductory thoughts to set the scene, then comes the text of the performance and then some
additional reflections developed after the event. As such, the paper takes the form of a
performative essay.
