Latitude

Latitude is an inter-disciplinary and experimental feature film and experience design project that was developed out of a project called 'Liquid Cinema', which started with an ERDF funded event in 2014 which included student filmmakers, creative technologists and cinema distributors to explore the future of filmmaking in a world of connective technologies.

It attempts to explore the way that the fields of 'experience design' and 'narrative film storytelling' are coming together and the implications that this has for the 21st Century Filmmaking.

A student led teaching project was devised out of this that then led to the creation of an internet enabled interactive feature film that asks questions about the increasing ubiquity of digital technologies in structuring everyday life.
